What is RealStores?
RealStores is a web-based (hosted) application suite that allows you to build, manage and market an online store.
With RealStores, you can create catalogs, organize products, design your storefront, accept credit card payments,
manage customers, orders, returns and shipments. You can even set up promotions, change email copy and add your own pages.

Do I need to install RealStores?
We host RealStores for you (for free!) so you do not have to worry about installing any software. We even handle
bug fixes, new features and upgrades.

Who are all of these interesting characters that I see on your website?
Glad that you asked! The people you see on our website are your RealStores assistants. Put them to work!
Each one specializes in a particular area; for example, Maggie will help you tackle marketing issues. It is their
goal to help you use the RealStores applications -- and to make you as successful as possible.

Does RealStores really just consist of two people and a bunch of interesting assistants?
Gosh no! We actually receive a ton of help from extremely talented (and busy) business partners, part time and full time
employees, contractors and service providers -- and we're growing on a daily basis. Having said that, we love the concept of
combining many, many "people years" of knowledge into our RealStores' assistants so that you have a single point of
access to a vast supply of collective wisdom.

What are the requirements in order to start selling on RealStores?
First, you need to sign up with RealStores. Once you get admitted to the Beta program, we will walk you through the very
quick administrative process that includes tasks like selecting a domain name, email address, etc. It’s free - so you won’t even need a credit card for this part.
Next, find something to sell! You'll also want to figure out a way to collect payments
(credit cards, Paypal, checks, even cash!) from your customers. You'll want to make some decisions about how to ship your items, calculate sales tax, those kinds of things -- but don't
worry; our assistants are there every step of the way to answer questions and to help you make all of the right choices.

RealStores is really free - even after 30 days. Even after 300 days.

If RealStores is free, how do you make money?
It’s very simple. We make money when you purchase or use any of our partners' products or services. Our partners offer
everthing from logo design, to business loans, to legal services (need to incorporate?), to development assistance, to
fulfillment, etc. RealStores receives a commission for each referral. You end up paying the same price had
you purchased directly from the company. (Sometimes we can negotiate with our partners such that you pay even less!)
In order for us to receive credit for the sale, we ask that you click on our link or use the sign-up form that we provide.
This will let our partners know that you are a RealStores' customer. RealStores has carefully
selected only "triple AAA" companies. We work with each company to provide the best possible purchasing, integration
and user experience.

Not at all. However, we did our homework. We think that you'll find the partners we have chosen offer excellent
services, fanatical customer support and outstanding prices.

page and he will explain what to do.

When will I receive my store?
The Beta Program is a "first come / first serve" process. We are selecting new users from our list each
week and are working hard to increase the rate at which we can take on new users.

What can I do with my RealStores' store?
Well, hopefully you'll sell lots of stuff and become quite successful. You'll find the specifics of what you
can do (and can't do) in the "Terms of Agreement" and "Privacy Policy" documents that we send out to our Beta customers.
I guess we should remind you that we are still in Beta, so some features are disabled or limited as we work under the hood
to really make them great.

I haven't heard from you for a couple of days, what is going on?
Again, the Beta program is a "first come / first serve" process. We are truly sorry that we can't accomodate everyone
immediately, but we will get to you. Here is another way to look
at it: if you can be a little patient, you'll just end up with an even more sophisticated, polished and feature-rich
application! For free!! Yes, our application suite gets better on a daily basis.

Can I use my own domain name with RealStores?
Absolutely. We highly recommend that you register a domain name, or use your current domain with your online store.
You are free to just run with something like "mystore.realstores.com", too.
We have partnered with Go Daddy to handle your domain name needs.

Do I need to be a designer in order to design my store?
No. RealStores allows you to use very easy tools to change the look and feel of your online store. You can drop in a logo,
change some colors and run. Or you can re-design everything from scratch.

Do I need to be able to program code in order to set up my store?
No. RealStores has many "point and click" functions that let you add features that normally would require special programming.
We really want anyone to be able to customize their store -- and add powerful functionality -- without requiring inputing a single line of code!
We do all of the programming so you won't have to.
